Dual Degrees

The Broad graduate management program offers two dual degree opportunities.

Law & Business
A four-year joint program with Michigan State University College of Law leads to the JD and MBA degrees, shaving a year off the time usually required to earn both. Twelve credits from each program count toward electives for the other program. The joint degree’s academic depth and rigor prepare students for leadership positions in business and in law.

International Business
For those interested in international business, Broad offers a dual degree program with Thunderbird School of Global Management based in Glendale, Arizona. Those enrolled in this program receive the Masters of Global Management from Thunderbird and the Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University. Students normally begin their studies in the Broad MBA Program and then complete their degree requirements at Thunderbird with specialization in international course work. Students are expected to:

  • Apply to and be accepted at both programs.
  • Complete a minimum of 45 semester hours at MSU and a minimum of 30 trimester hours at Thunderbird. (Additional hours are required at Thunderbird if a student is not fully fluent in two languages.)
  • Pay tuition separately to each school for the number of credits taken.
